Here’s this week’s update on sports around the world

 

 

Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go is taking over…Finland’s football team entertained the crowd by pretending to play and the mayor of Rio is hoping they get Pokemon Go for the Olympics.

 

OLYMPICS

BASKETBALL

Team USA’S Men’s basketball team showed off skills with the camera and on the court.

RUGBY

Patriots’ safety Nate Exner will be suiting up in red, white, and blue again, but this time for Team USA.

FOOTVOLLEY

The up-and-coming sport will make it’s debut in Rio.

 

DOPING

Russia named their Track & Field team in hopes that the doping ban from WADA will be lifted in time for them to compete in the Rio games.  And while 67 athletes were denied requests to compete under a neutral flag, one athlete was approved, but it’s not all celebration for her.
