The Gold Rush 5K benefits No Kid Should Know Cancer, is a local non-profit. Proceeds of the event go to fund outings for families with children battling cancer.
Cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the United States. Despite this fact, clinical trials for better treatment are vastly underfunded.

No Kid Should Know Cancer Inc. is a nonprofit organization that focuses on increasing awareness about childhood cancer while helping local families with a child who has been recently diagnosed with cancer. They not only strive to provide financial assistance, but also opportunities for fun events for them to share during such a difficult time. Proceeds of the Gold Rush 5K will directly benefit newly diagnosed children and their families who are just beginning their cancer journey.
